Alison Nanduga

Alison Nadunga is an origami artist and public health worker. She teaches origami to children and communities as a sustainable skill and critical thinking tool. Her practice as an Artist mainly revolves around themes of Education and much of her experiences sharing the knowledge of art with communities.

Nadunga’s KLA ART ‘21 project, Birabi’s Kaleidoscope, is an origami installation, constructed as a call back to one of Nadunga’s most cherished toys as a child – the kaleidoscope. Through her work she examines the intersections of informal and formal learning, putting them in valuable conversation with each other.
