Hamza Teirab is a Sudanese painter and leather worker whose style mixes cubism, realism and abstract schools of art on leather, which acts as his canvas. In 2018, he graduated with a degree in Graphic Design from the school of Fine Arts at the Sudan University. Afterwards, he became an assistant lecturer at the School of Fine Arts until 2020. Teirab received the 3rd place project for the Musanaiji initiative and in 2020, one of his artworks went to the office of the Prime Minister’s Council.
During his residency, Teirab aims to introduce the culture, heritage and identity of the Sudanese to his audiences. He continues to work with leather as his main material, including local leather sourced from Uganda.
